THE DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE THINKING AS A PRIORITY

The online training course organized by Gavar State University on “Creative Problem Solutions” is over.

The training was conducted on July 15-22, 2020 within the framework of EU “ERASMUS + Fostering University-Enterprise Cooperation and Entrepreneurship of Students via Smart Caffes (SMART)” project.

Hundreds of specialists took part in the training, including lecturers from Gavar, Yerevan, Goris State Universities, both experienced and young teachers and pedagogues from different educational institutions of Armenia- Gavar, Sevan, Martuni, Vardenis high and secondary schools, other educational and cultural institutions.

The trainers were GSU Rector Ruzanna Hakobyan, Lecturer at the Chair of Social Sciences Kanakara Hayrapetyan, Lecturer at the Chair of Foreign Languages and Literature, Head of the Foreign Relations and Media Department of the University Lilit Torchyan, specialist of the same department, lecturer Siranuysh Mkrtchyan.

The last lesson, which was dedicated to “The Development of learners’ critical thinking as a priority”, was conducted by Lilit Torchyan. She made a presentation, offering a number of tools and methods that stimulate the critical thinking of learners and students.

The participants were actively involved in distance games that develop critical thinking, they solved puzzles, riddles, presented their opinions and experiences.

In the final part, Ruzanna Hakobyan delivered a speech, highlighting the development of learners’ logical, analytical, creative thinking in the process of education as a guarantee for the development of creative individuals.

At the end of the course, all the participants expressed their satisfaction with the courses provided by the staff of the University, noting the usefulness of the trainings.

They appreciated the effectiveness of the trainings by participating in an anonymous online survey conducted by the Quality Assurance Department of the University.

The participants of the trainings received certificates.
