GAVAR STATE UNIVERSITY AS A MEMBER OF EU “ERASMUS+ VIRTUAL VOYAGES” PROJECT

Gavar State University is a member of EU “Erasmus+ Acquiring Transversal Competences through Virtual Voyages” project, which is implemented within the framework of the new “Erasmus+ Virtual Exchanges” action program and aims to implement virtual-online academic mobility programs to promote intercultural dialogue and the development of flexible skills among participants.

Gavar State University is the only Armenian university participating in the project. “Virtual Voyages” project aims to create virtual exchange opportunities for students on topics related to career planning, capacity building and soft skills development, using the existing e-learning platform thevoyage.eu. The project also aims to promote mutual understanding and tolerance among 2,100 students from universities in Armenia, Romania, Italy, Portugal, Georgia, Moldova and other participating countries, who will have the opportunity to communicate virtually, exchange their thoughts, ideas and experiences, while improving their own capabilities and skills in the mentioned areas. Both synchronous and asynchronous activities will be organized, and students will benefit from the electronic materials available on the virtual platform. Training courses will also be organized for university teaching staff, young employees and trainers to improve their digital literacy, soft skills and the ability to practically apply new e-learning tools.

On April 30, 2025, the project kick-off meeting was held online, during which the project work packages, action plan, project information dissemination plan, and features of the virtual platform were introduced. Delegates from participating universities presented their universities, and the upcoming activities and the deadlines within the framework of the project were discussed.

From Gavar State University Lilit Torchyan – Head of the Foreign Relations and Media Department, and Siranuysh Mkrtchyan – a specialist in the same department participated in the meeting.
