EU “MENVIPR” PROGRAMME LAUNCHED

On January 14-15, 2019 the workshop of EU “Modernization of environment protection studies programmes for Armenia and Georgia (MENVIPR)” programme took place in the Institute for Ecological- Noosphere Research Center of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

The programme includes partner institutions from Italy, Germany, Portugal, Armenia and Georgia.

Gavar State University participates in the workshop as a partner of the program.

The three-year coordinator of the project is the University of Tucson, Italy with which Gavar State University has a successful experience of cooperation.

National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, The Institute for Ecological- Noosphere Research Center of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia participated in the workshop and Gavar State University is the only Armenian partner University of the programme.

From Gavar State University, the Vice-rectors Nelly Kutuzyan and Arsen Aproyan participated in the workshop.

The goal of the EU “MENVIPR” programme is to modernize environment protection studies programmes for Armenia and Georgia, improve their quality, update teaching and research methods, and effectively implement the Bologna principles.

According to the agenda, Mrs. Kutuzyan and Mr. Aproyan presented the international cooperation programmes of Gavar State University, the expectations from “MENVIPR” programme.

At the end of the workshop, the objectives of the programme were discussed.
