The regular workshop of EU “ERASMUS+T-Green – Transforming Graduate Education for Green and Sustainable Future” project workshop was held at the Mikolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania. From Gavar State University, Nelly Kutuzyan- Vice- Rector on Educational and Scientific Affairs, Lilit Torchyan –Head of Foreign Relations and Media Department, Hakob Ghuloyan – Head of the Chair of Accounting, Gurgen Muradyan – Chief Accountant and lecturer at the Chair of Accounting, participated in the workshop. The project is coordinated by the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia in collaboration with Eurasia International University. During the workshop, EU partners presented the experience of Mikolas Romeris University, the Catholic University of Portugal, and the Jagiellonian University of Krakow in Poland in developing a “Green Education” policy and implementing educational programs awarding joint and double qualifications.
Joint or double degree Master programs developed by partner RA universities, were presented. Lilit Torchyan presented “Green Economy” MA program jointly developed by Gavar State University and State Economic University of Armenia referring to the comparative analysis /benchmarking/ process carried out during the preparatory phase of the project, the intended credits, educational outcomes and other issues. The developed programs will be revised by taking into account the opinions of European partners, as well as some courses will be reprofiled, aimed at “green education” and the economical and wise use of natural resources.
GSU representatives actively participated in the discussions on the components of various structural units of “Green Economy” MA program, mandatory and elective courses, content of educational outcomes, and program licensing requirements. The workshop materials conducted during the workshop will be available on the project platform for use and localization of advanced international experience.
